you ever lost a loved one and thought you would never heal from this loss? Coping with the loss of a loved one, and dealing
with grief, is a challenge we all must face.
As
a community, we are still grieving the loss of Matthew Daniele and Adam Vitaterna. We
have written a picture book entitled Healing Through the Eyes of a Child “The Dove Book” in memory of these
two boys. The character Sammie in the story takes you through his healing journey as a child to adulthood. After the death of his brother, Sammie was overwhelmed with many emotions. He felt burdened with grief and sorrow. He learns to cope
with his emotions because of his faith and hope. Join Sammie on his healing journey
though the purchase of this book that will touch the hearts of the young and old.
This
book can be purchased for $15.00. Proceeds from the sale of this book will go
directly to the Matthew Daniele and Adam Vitaterna Memorial Fund. We hope that
through this book many things will take flight.
Since
the passing of Matthew and Adam, their Memorial Funds have generously donated respective amounts of money to many organizations
within Niagara and the greater Niagara area. Some of these include: McMaster
Children’s Hospital, Tender Wishes Foundation, St. Paul High School,
Niagara Falls Alive Foundations, and Tsunami Relief Fund.
Adam’s
Fund has helped many deserving children in the Niagara Region by paying for their sports registrations including outdoor and
indoor soccer, hockey, ball hockey and basketball. It has also purchased hockey
and soccer equipment for these children. To date the fund has helped over 40 children and has disbursed over $23,000.00
This
book will comfort the hearts of many and be a reminder of our life’s journey.
