One year and 3 months later Marilena got the benefit of supply teaching in Mary Ward's grade 7 class , which would have been Adam's class. She had an "Adam day" with Adam's friends and classmates.  She had the kids watch one of Adam's favorite movies "Master of Disguise".  Adam would always imitate the characters in this show.  She asked them to write about a  specific memory about Adam.  Here are most of the stories. These kids pretty well sum up what Adam was  about. He was caring towards others but most of all, a  funny kid that made everyone laugh. Read the stories below. Some made us cry, but most made us laugh, and we got to see how Adam's friends saw him.

(  real names have been edited)

The memory of Adam that I have at school is when I first came to this school and I didn’t know anybody but FrXX and RoXCX. Then I asked Adam if I can play with him one day and he said sure you can play with us. We were playing manhunt. Then he asked me for my name and I said GXXXXXX. Then Adam said that’s a bit too long so I will call you G-man. That’s when I knew me and Adam were going to be friends.

Adam, Livia and myself usually walked home with each other. In the morning I’d stop by just a little early with FrXXXX at Adam’s door, and he’s be rushing to get ready. Adam would always repeat his favorite joke, which I cannot write down seeing this is a homework assignment, but you get the message. All of the guys would go on bike rides with each other and Adam was always the bravest when it came to jumps or tricks. We’d always go to our favorite place to ride bikes “the pits” . There were dirt mounds at “the pits” and we’d jump off of them on our bikes . It was very cool. My most memorable memory of Adam was when everyone went swimming in his pool. Almost all of the guys were there and I felt that things would be like this forever, until someone threw a splash ball that collided with my head.

My memory was when Adam brought his football to school and he would always include me even though I wasn’t good. I practiced and now I’m better.

I have many memories of Adam. I remember when Adam used to flip his eye lids , it was so funny. I remember when he would do the matrix up the fence at school and run and do flips in the school field. Adam was very good at many sports like soccer , football, and running. He was such a good athlete. I remember last year, almost every day after school Adam would wait for Livia and walk home with her . He would never leave the school without her. Adam was a loving responsible brother, and was a great friend to everyone. He would always be there to help you if you needed help, and he cared for everyone. I will always remember Adam , and I will always remember the memories with him. I miss him so much . I hope he will rest in peace in heaven. One day I will see him.

Adam was such a team player, he was always fair no matter what , and where ever he was his fox hat was there too!. Some days when Adam came out for recess he would be really hyper and start doing flips in the air, it was so funny. Adam was one of the funniest guys I have ever met. And sometimes I can hear him laugh. Whenever I play soccer I will always think of Adam.

It was recess at school one day. We were setting up soccer and nobody was picking me until Adam became captain and he picked me. We had such a fun time. Another memory was at ball hockey. We were facing Adam’s team. Someone tripped me and Adam came over to help me up. Another memory is when I got hurt and I needed ice. Adam came in the school with me and helped me and we got ice together.

I have a lot of memories of Adam. A lot of them I laugh about because he was a very funny kid. My most favorite memory of Adam was at my 10th birthday. We had a swimming competition and Adam won it for the boys. Then we had a draw. My mom gave out pictures with numbers on the backs.(little pieces of paper) and some of the guys were drinking their drink and swallowed them. There were all laughing. But when it cam time to draw for the tee-shirts, I just remember Adam saying “come on !, I have to burp this thing up”. I was laughing so hard. That is the one memory I will never forget about Adam.

One of the memories that I have with Adam , that sticks out in my mind was, every winter time since grade 4 on, me SeXXXX, MaXX and Adam would go deep into the field and have a race we would run with our heads down facing the ground and kick our legs as high as we could. Before you know it we were all tangled up in each other on the ground.

In Grade 5 , MiXXX, Adam,RaXX, RoXX  and I had this really funny game we made up. I think it was called “squish” or something like that. But we all stood next to each other and pretty much just squished each other really hard until someone popped out ! I remember playing this game like every recess foe a week ! we loved it! Adam was such a funny person! I remember one day , him and MXXX going up to everyone and singing” I’ve got tissues, but you’ve got issues” . Of course he was just kidding. Adam was also a king and caring person . He was truly a great friend. I know he is missed by many people but I’m sure he is watching over and each and everyone of us. But of course it would be a lot better if he were still here with us. Maybe God just needed someone like Adam up in  heaven, whatever the case may be, I know all of us will meet with Adam again some day. Miss You tones Adam.

One memory that I will always have is when I came back from lunch and I met up with Adam and MXXX. We greeted each other and thought of a song. It was like this “Cheddar, Bacon, Beans and Pork. These are the things that make us hork,” Then we would all spit on the ground. It was funny, we sang that for a week.

Another memory I have that really sticks with me is me and ErXX in dance class made up this handshake. I showed Adam the next day and for the whole week me and Adam were doing the handshake. But Friday we did it one last time before we parted ways. The week went by and I asked everyone where Adam was and everyone told me he was in the Dominican Republic. I hadn’t known that and was sad that I didn’t get to say a formal goodbye.

I remember the end of Grade 5 and I spent a little time together after school and Adam asked us to help him climb the tree. He made us laugh so hard tears came down my eyes. I can say that was the best end of the year memory. I even took pictures of us.

My favorite memory of Adam is during the winter me, MXXX, LaXX and Adam would run as fast as we could with our heads between our knees . We could not see where we were going so we would often fall or bump into people. I found this memory to be really funny.

This one specific memory is funny. Actually almost all of my memories of Adam are funny and some of my days with him were the best. My memory starts off with me in class. I sat right between MXXX and Adam, and we were just finishing snack and we were supposed to be silent reading but I guess when you put me, MXX and Adam together, silent reading is not an option so we were just doing the normal thing and as soon as I put that peach juice up to my lips, it came out my nose and I think you could say we had a real big laugh about that for a long time.

In Grade 5 when we were coming back from a field trip there was 3 girls sitting in one seat and the teacher told one of us to move but no one wanted to. So I went up and the empty seat was beside Adam, so he asked me if I wanted and candy, like 7 thousand times it was so funny. Then I remember JaXXX and RoXX were sitting across from us and Jasper was playing his little game boy thing . So he was too busy to see what was going on. Then RoXX was talking and he said something to Adam about me and if he was happy about who he was sitting beside. Then I looked at Adam and his face was bright red, then my face went bright red and the bus stopped. So Jasper and RoXX stopped laughing and I wished the bus wouldn’t stop.  He was always the one to cheer everyone up and whenever you saw him he was happy. He was an awesome soccer player. A long time ago I went to his birthday party and I remember he chased all the girls around the house trying to kiss us and all the girls were running and yelling all over the house. There are a lot more memories.

One memory I had with Adam was when I was walking home with him last year to help with his paper route. He kept going up to the door and putting the paper in the mail box. So I said” you have to do the pro throw” . He said “what’s that?” I said you have to put an elastic around the paper really tight. So I took a step, went to throw and slipped on a patch of ice. We were laughing so hard we were crying.

Adam never bullied others or me; he was a good friend to everyone and is missed every day.

I also remember that in grade 6 , Adam would sing “vertigo” by U2. Adam would flip over his eyelids and make us all laugh. We all miss him very much.

A memory I had with Adam is when I had to get stitches above my eye because I hit it while playing laser tag. When I got back to school everyone thought I just ran into a pole. But not Adam. He would always ask me how it actually happened. He said something like “Okay, so you were leaning against a pole , then you slipped and hit your face on a screw?” And I said “Yah”! You’re the first one who actually understands!”. Then on MSN I was talking to Adam. On MSN he drew a picture of me with stitches above my eye!. It was really funny!. I will always remember that. I miss Adam soooo much. He will always be in our hearts and thoughts.

Me, Adam and my cousin we all went to the movies to see National Treasure and we were throwing candy at each other . Another thing was when me and Adam played hockey it was always fun when we were on the ice we would talk to each other those were the best games.

Adam would take a sticky tack to make a mole , and put it on his face and say" moley moley moley"

I remember when Adam came over to my house and my mom was painting Pickachu on our faces and Adam kept laughing so it took my mom a very very long time. I also remember the first time I came to Mary Ward school in grade 1. Adam and RoXX volunteered to show me around the class, school and playground.

One of the funniest and most memorable memories of Adam is in gr 6 before Christmas break. I got a pink hat that I always wore. Whenever I would go outside there was Adam just waiting for me, just to take my hat. Adam loved to wear the hat, all the time !. We would always make a game out of it too. That is something I will always remember about Adam.

One of my memories of Adam was playing the pinny game. We would grab each other’s arms and spin around. Then we would let go and he would go flying . When he got back up he would always say something really funny.

My special memory with Adam would be when me, him, MaXX and DalXX were is a class play together and we had so much fun. Adam and DaXX were the bullies and me and MaXX were the nerds, and the play was called “ The Nerds who could”. Another one was at firemans park when me him , DaXX and JoXX all went down the hill on my chopper bike . I had so much fun and I will never forget my two special memories of Adam( THIS WOULD ADAM’S LAST CONTACT WITH ANY OF HIS FRIENDS BEFORE WE DEPARTED FOR THE DOMINICAN)

Every time our family got together me and Adam would imitate a part in the movie"Master of disguise". I remember one night when Adam was over my house, I would say from the movie  "become another person, become another person, become another person" . Then I would ask Adam "who are you" . He would reply "the question is not, who I am, the question is who are you?. I am Prince Lamiga from the ringy dingy heights....." and so on

Adam always used to flip his eye lids up, and it used to scare me so much. I remember one day when he was at my house Nick and him took a picture with my web cam of Adam's eyes and his eye lids were flipped up. Nick and Adam put it as my desk top background for my computer . When I went on my computer I almost fell off my chair because I was so freaked out.

The last time I saw Adam alive was Jan 1st, 2005 4 days before his death. We watched the movie "The Day after tomorrow". One part I was scared so I hid behind a pillow. Adam was sitting beside me and looked at me. I will never forget it. During the movie me and Adam made up this thing . I would tap Adam's forehead , he would yell out " BooBoo". I would tap his nose , he would yell "TWEET" . I would tap his cheak, he would yell out "Chickpea". Then I would hit his cheak harder abd he would yell "AH". Before I left we were all folding laundry . Wev found a matching pair of socks and we kept finding matches. We started singing ...."We found a match!" later that night I gave Adam the biggest hug ever! I never thought that this would be the last time I ever got to talk to him, hug him , or laugh with him.
